Two goals were not enough

First game under the new coach Jozef Weber ends in defeat

Two goals were not enough

Jozef Weber’s influence was obvious from the beginning of the match. The Kangaroos were playing with enthusiasm and the determination to get points and to win.

The first goal came in the 17th minute. Moravec crossed the ball from the right side to the penalty box where Martin Nešpor was. The home defender was in a way and scored an own goal.

Bohemians took the lead and the match looked promising for them.
The match later became closer and most of the game was played in middle third of the pitch. Slovácko also had a few chances but they either missed the target or Sňozík had it under control.

After two big chances from Slovácko the foul came from Kaufman and the referee Příhoda pointed at the penalty spot right away. Došek didn’t miss it and equalised. This was a bitter pill to swallow for Bohemians and their game changed and did not have a bigger chance for the next few minutes.

The second half saw the introduction of Tomáš Borek, who was sent in to boost the game. Then it was the Bohemians fans who disrupted the game for a few minutes when they used some smoke bombs and the referee stopped the game. It was Nešpor and Moravec who had chances in the fog caused by bombs but didn’t scored.

On the other side it was Libor Došek who scored one of his trademark goals: the tallest man on the pitch scored a header from a corner, changing the score to 2:1. Chances came from Lukáš and Budínský but were ineffective.

Slovácko stayed in our penalty box for some time and Michael Žižka, trying to get rid of the ball, sent it into his own goal. This moment was probably the crucial one, because the opponent did not play better today.

A few minutes before time, Ondřej Kraják came on and passed the ball to Bartek who scored with a powerful right foot shot.

This came too late and Bohemians didn’t get the other goal to get at least 1 point.
Two goals away weren’t enough to get any points and Bohemians left the pitch defeated again.
The next match is against Hradec in Synot Tip Arena on Sunday. The coach believes that the game we played today will attract more fans to the stands.
