Bohemians lost 1:0 against Sparta and move down into relegation position

Seventy minutes of hope

Round 28 was played in the Letná stadium against Sparta Prague. The starting line up stayed same after last week’s success.

The first half was exactly how everyone had predicted. The players in red dominated, but the Kangaroos were defending great and didn’t let Sparta create any significant opportunities. Great defending tackles were showed especially by Borek and Ptáček. But when Sparta went through our defensive lines there was a keeper who didn’t let anything past him.

The first big chance came at the end of half time when Holek had a header, but missed after interference from the defender. Half time score 0:0.

The second half started with continuous pressure by Sparta. The first shot was taken by Jarošík, but was wide. Then another two chances, first by Přikryl, but Bartek defended well and second chance by Kweuke who hit the crossbar. Later, it was Krejčí who shot to the far post but Sňozík had an amazing save.

When it looked like Bohemians could salvage a point, Matějovský took a corner, Holek passed it to Hušbauer who shot it through many players and scored a goal.

After the goal, Sparta started to defend and keep the ball. The kangaroos had a few chances at the end of the match but nothing successful. Bohemians lost and came down to 15th position. Next match will be this Wednesday against Teplice.
