Bohemians come from behind to win 2:1The Sunday match was of high importance for the team from Ďolíček. The possible win would bring Bohemians to the first place of the second league and it would also set up a new record in consecutive wins for kangaroos since the rebirth of the club.
But the opponent was not any easy. Varnsdorf, team from the 4th position, is a surprise of this season and in the match they proved why from the very beginning. Two dangerous shots came on goal in first minutes; one of them saved by Sňozík the second was just wide.
The first bigger chance of Bohemians came in 17th minute when Bálek reached the pass from Kalina but could not chip the ball over the keeper.
Next minutes of the match were directed by Bohemians. The outcome was without any success. Three yellow cards for away team, no goal scored.
Three minutes to halftime, the away team scored after a big mistake of Sňozík. The ball got to him and his goal kick ended as his worst nightmare. The ball went straight to the away attacker, deflected and Volf brought the ball to an open goal.
The second half could not start better for the kangaroos. Jindřišek crossed the ball to David Bartek, who got the ball to the penalty box, went one-on-one on keeper, wasn’t selfish and passed the ball to Bálek at the last possible moment and Bálek scored an equalizer.
Bohemians tried to take the lead on their side. Petr Nerad was the most active player on the pitch. His first shot was caught by the keeper, second shot was wide and his header just a second later was not accurate.
The resolution of the match came 10 minutes to time. David Bartek crossed the ball to the penalty area where Moravec hit the ball from the first touch and took the lead on the green and white side.
Bohemians won and moved up the table to take the leading position in the league. They also set a new record of a winning streak. Six wins in a row!
