Two Nerad's goals not enough

Bohemians lost to Ústí

Two Nerad's goals not enough

It was 13th round when Bohemians went to Ústí nad Labem. The match was different from any other match of this season because it was snowing throughout the whole match. The starting line up was without any change from the previous match against Most.

The first chance came after 15 minutes of play. David Bartek, after a pass from Nerad, went on goal but lost the ball in the penalty area when he met the last defender. There was also a chance on the other side of the pitch where Zeman’s shot was stopped by Sňozík.

Petr Nerad, with the number 22 scored! It was 22nd minute when Ondřej Šiml got some space in the middle of the pitch, sent a great pass to Nerad who scored and changed the score to our favour.

But it didn’t take long for Ústí to reply. It took just about 5 minutes to equalize. Hovorka crossed the ball to Zeman who scored. Then, 5 more minutes later, it was Volek who got behind Moravec and turned the score to their side by scoring the second home goal.

Radek Sňozík had to show some saves at the end of the first half. The halftime score stayed 2:1 for the home team.

The second half started with a substitution. Jan Růžička came on pitch instead of Budínský and Moravec took a post of midfielder. And Moravec was one of the players who had some credit on equalizing goal. He found left-alone Nerad on the left side; Nerad took a shot and scored his second goal in the match.

The remaining 30 minutes of the game were in hands of the home team. Radek Sňozík saved two goal chances but then, in 75th minute, the corner kick of Ústí ended behind his back. It was Veverka who scored and Ústí took the lead.

Bohemians tried to equalize. Šmíd went up the field but the slippery surface and the organized defense of the home team didn’t let him finish it. The biggest chance to equalize came in extra time, when Rada took a free kick, but the ball ended in the hands of the keeper. Bohemians lost 2:3 and coming home without points.
