First defeat at Ďolíček

Olomouc takes three points from Vršovice

First defeat at Ďolíček

Sigma Olomouc came to Ďolíček during the 9th round of Gambrinus Liga. The coach of the home team had no reason to change the starting line up after the win against Banik Ostrava last week. Today’s match was, however, totally different from the last one. The possession was taken by the home team since the beginning of the match. Karaš was shooting just wide in first minutes and Varadi did not reach the cross ball by Vepřek.

The biggest chance of the first half for Bohemians came in 23rd minute. Matěj Štochl appeared alone in front of the keeper but he bet on the strength rather than accuracy and hit the ball straight where the keeper was.

Then it was Olomouc again which took the ball. Vepřek got through the defenders but his shot went wide. Just before the end of the first half, Sigma took a corner kick, Ordoš managed to get to the ball, took a shot which hit Jindřišek and deflected to the goal. Bohemians were losing after the first halftime.

Bohemians started the second half with a straight plan; to score an equalizer as fast as possible. The free kick taken by Jindřišek ended in the wall, Jakub Rada missed a header and Matěj Štochl’s hard shot went wide. Blaha also saved Kolář’s cross ball a minute later and Sigma answered.

Adam Varadi was on the floor when realized the game is still on. When the ball got close to him, he stood up and managed to send it behind Berkovec’s back. 2:0 for the away team.

The kangaroos, supported by 4500 fans, tried to dramatize the game in last 30 minutes but all the chances had a short life.

Bohemians pressure peaked in last minutes. Jakub Hora took a shot which was blocked by Škerle’s head and he had to be given a medical treatment. The next chance by Jakub Hora was stopped by David Bartek’s back. And when not even Ndiaye’s bicycle shot over the head nor Rada’s hard shot did not go in, Bohemians lost for the first time this season at home. Olomouc leaves Prague with three points.
