Hora’s goal came late

Olomouc – Bohemians 2:1

Hora’s goal came late

Bohemians visited Andruv stadium during 23rd round of Gambrinus Liga. The home team got only 1 point from last four matches and they were standing just two points above Bohemians in the table.

Luděk Klusáček made a change in a starting line up compared to the previous match. David Bartek stayed on the bench and Petr Nerad played from the first minute.
The introduction of the match brought chances on both sides. Jan Schulmeister sent a strong shot on Berkovec but keeper deflected the ball away for a corner. Dreksa took it, found Nepožitek who missed the target.

Bohemians reacted with a great chance by Lietava. Moravec and Pauschek exchanged the ball few times sent it to Lietava who threatened the keeper with a shot but the keeper saved it.

The standing of both teams in a league table reflected the play for next minutes and the match fell into the category of below average. Kangaroos had the possession but couldn’t create a bigger chance, Sigma’s counterattacks were even less dangerous. The goalless halftime score was no surprise.

Bohemians did not catch the pace right from the beginning of the second half. Houska got through three players after two minutes, his deflected shot got to Depetris who only hit Pauschek.

But the first warning for the defense wasn’t enough. Martin Pospisil took the ball in 53rd minute, got to a close distance and unprotected took a shot and sent Sigma into lead. Martin Berkovec lost his clean sheet count after 370 minutes.

Petr Nera could score an equalizer. Erich Brabec sent a cross ball in front of the goal but Nerad’s header was not accurate.

However the next Bohemians player heading the ball was accurate. Daniel Krch, playing well in the defense until then, was trying to save the situation after Varadi’s cross but instead of sending the ball away from the goal, he hit it in. Berkovec couldn’t do much and Sigma was leading 2:0.

Klusáček reacted immediately and used two creative midfielders, Mantas Kuklys and Lukáš Budínský. Both players however didn’t bring any new ideas for success.

It was during the extra time when Bohemians were creating bigger chances and one of them ended well. Ivan Lietava’s shot was saved by the home keeper but the last chance of the match by Jakub Hora was successful. He went around the keeper and sent the ball behind his back. He adjusted the score to 2:1 and the referee Ardeleanu ended the match right after the goal.

Bohemians lost 2:1 in Olomouc and confirmed their 15th position in the league table.
