Home defeat against Slovácko

Bohemians – Slovácko 1:2

Home defeat against Slovácko

The match was the imaginary “dot” after the first part of the season and both teams had the last result of 1:4 still in their memory. Kangaroos won their last match nearly two months ago so the win was a need.

It was well speculated whether Libor Došek will play or not until the last moments before the match because of his back pain. But unfortunately, he appeared right in the starting line-up and he did well since first minutes.

It was only 8th minute when the supporters witnessed the first goal. Pauschek haven’t secured a run by Kerbr on the left side, he got a pass from Kalouda and Kalouda crossed the ball to the far post. Kuncl returned the ball back in front of the goal to find Došek who aimed well and scored a first goal.

Not even two minutes passed by and the score was even. The cross ball from a right side from Pauschek went to Mosquera who headed towards the left post. Heča punched the ball away however Rada was there and finished it.

Two more minutes left and Bohemians had the winning goal on their feet. Moravec got into the penalty area and slower Košůt had to take him down. A penalty kick was traditionally executed by Jindřišek, but untraditionally, Jindřišek missed it.

And when Kangaroos didn’t take the lead on their side, Slovacko wanted to do so. Kuncl took the ball into the penalty area, his speed confused the defense of Bohemians and he passed the ball to Travnik. Travnik, left alone in front of the keeper tried to score, went around Švenger and took a shot. The sliding Cseh however got there on time and stopped it on the goal line.

The second half started with a shot by Travnik when he used the unfortunate slide by Krch, but the shot went over the bar.

In 57th minute, it was Mosquera who got a crossball on his head, he prepared the ball for Cseh but it wasn’t an easy position and Cseh missed the target with his header.

The match was then divided in many pieces. The referee gave three yellow cards before the final goal was scored. It was a corner kick. Travnik’s ball went towards the front post where Břečka suddenly appeared and lengthen the ball towards the back post and into a goal.

Kangaroos tried to open their play and it hurt them from counterattacks. Just three minutes later, it was Došek again who tried to succeed with a header twice but in both cases, Švenger caught it.

The possession was on the home team side but with no chance of scoring an equalizer. And when they got close enough to finish it, they lacked of accuracy. One good example was Krch’s header after a 40 meter long cross by Rada.

Pivarnik sent Šmíd to the offense line, but his centimeters didn’t change much. Slovacko left Ďolíček with hands full of points.
