Teplice 1 – Bohemians 0

David Young reporting

Whilst Teplice were a strong physical presence, they were surprisingly poor at retaining possession and dring the first half continually gave the ball away to the Klokani in dangerous positions. Unfortunately, the majority of through balls from the Bohemian's midfield were also very poor. A mix of overhot, underhit and slow delivery meant that Bohemians were unable to capitalize on the opportunities presented.

Teplice continued to push forward, but were quite one-dimensional with nearly all attacks being launched down their left. Rychlik soon got the measure of their game and the Bohemians defence started to look more an more comfortable.

The second half picked up where the first left off, though Teplice were definitely applying the pressure as you would expect the leaders at home to do. Things changed in the 57th minute when Rychlik was presented with his second yellow card of the game. When the ref shows you a card, there is little sense in arguing, but Rychlik has every justification for feeling aggrieved. The Teplice player who was allegedly fouled was always on his way down as he launched himslef at Rychlik who was sheltering the ball. Ibragimov came onto help chase down the defenders with Skoda tiring a little.

Unfortunate, and even more unfortunate when an attempted clearance form the Bohemians left back position was catapulted onto another pair of blue socks (Bohemians were wearing blue socks. For some reason the ref wasn't happy with our regular socks) and pinged back over the byline for a Teplice corner. Delivered to the near post, Bohemians failed to dig it out of a crowded area and Teplice poked it home.

With ten men and a goal down, it was always going to be a struggle. Ibragimov continued to pressure and push and made some mazy runs, but always one step too far and what half chances bohemians created were sprayed high and wide.

On to Slavia...
