We’re still breathing

Bohemians - Dukla 3:2

We’re still breathing

It was another derby day in Ďolíček and the opponent came from the north of Prague. Dukla was not in ideal form and there was no other option than to take all three points for kangaroos.

Dukla had no reason why to pursue the win because their chances for European Cups were only theoretical. On the other hand, Bohemians needed nothing but win, in any other case the relegation would be reality.

And it looked like both teams entered the match this way. The first half didn’t bring much of a quality however it brought goals. And all of them for Bohemians.

The match started in a slow pace, first minutes were boring for an eye of a fan. The game started for real at around 20th minute. Kangaroos had a series of free kicks and they have used one of them. The free kick ended on the head of Michal Šmíd and he aimed it right behind the back of the keeper.

Not even 5 minutes went by and Rada took a corner kick and found Jindřišek on the back post and he finished it after second try.

And the first half destruction of the away team was completed by Nerad. Hora got a ball on the edge of penalty area, sent a ball to Nerad who took a long range shot. The away keeper had no chance and the half time score was 3:0.

The halftime storm came into the cloakrooms of the away team and the results came immediately. Lietava did not turn a chance into goal celebration and since then, the game was in possession of the away team.

Firstly, they scored a goal in 58th minute after a nice triangle combination and secondly, just 6 minutes later, Jurouška made it 3:2 with a shot from a left side.

Luckily, kangaroos got back into the game in time and the match slowed down again. Bohemians got out of the pressure but they haven’t won yet.

It started raining and the away defender Jeřábek had a chance to score an equalizer. He headed into the ground, ball bounced up but Berkovec was on the right spot.

The pressure by Dukla ended after this chance and Bohemians spent the rest of the match on the opponent half. The referee blew the whistle and fans started celebrating a partial win. The home coach had one thing to say after the match: “We are still breathing”.
