Goalless match in Vlašim

Split of points

Bohemians visited a place 60 kilometers away from their hometown, Vlašim. The home team made an important change in the team. The new head coach came to the club just few days before, namely Michal Horňák, who used to be a coach of a B-team in Sparta Prague.

Weber didn’t make any changes in starting line up in a third consecutive match. It looked like a right decision since the kick off. The dominance of the away team was clear.

There was much more work for Michal Toma, the home keeper, than for Havránek. It was Kalina, then after a corner kick Cseh and Šmíd, Jindřišek, Moravec, Rada and Bartek, all threatening the home goal but all did not put the ball behind the back of the keeper.

The coach Weber wanted to change the pace of the game and sent Petr Nerad on the pitch at the beginning of the second half. The decision proved to be right. Nerad sent a pass to Štochl who took a long shot which went just wide. The same result also for Rada after the free kick.

The spectators could have seen goals on both sides in less than two minutes. Firstly, it was Jindřišek who missed the goal by centimetres and then on the other side of the pitch the home team got the ball behind the goal line. The goal was immediately disallowed because the striker was offside. The counterattack made by the away team was finished by Nerad but Toma saved it.

Last minutes of the match belonged to the Kangaroos. Štochl did not beat the home keeper, Budínský repeated him as well and when not even Kalina changed the score, the referee ended the match goalless.

Jiří Havránek made his fourth consecutive cleansheet, Martin Cseh his fourth yellow card which means he will miss the next match against Táborsko. Bohemians are remaining at the top of the FNL.
