Prague derby for Sparta

The Kangaroos went to Letna stadium to play their fourth round away. Jakub Rada and Daniel Krch could not play because of legal agreements with the home team. Jakub Hora who participated in his first match for the green and white team replaced Rada.

It has been few years already since Bohemians scored a goal against Sparta Prague, however this curse is over. Jakub Hora found Moravec on the edge of the penalty box; Moravec prepared the ball for a shot and scored in tenth minute.

Sparta was slowly getting more and more possession and the first goal chances came with 30th minute. Ladislav Krejčí took a shot but it went just wide. The Kangaroos reacted quickly when Moravec offered Ndiaye a great chance but Ndiaye did not execute it.

The biggest chance for Sparta Prague in a first half came in 37th minute when Kadlec got a cross ball from Vacek and only centimetres were missing.

Roman Bednář was sent on the pitch to improve the offense of the team from Letna. This worked out and the first chances came straight away. Lafata appeared in the first one and Berkovec showed some skill and saved it.

Bohemians were also very dangerous throughout the first minutes of the second half. It was Radek Šírl who surprised Vaclik from the free kick when a cross ball ended just above the crossbar. Just seconds later it was Ndiaye this time who hit the ball with the over-head but missed the goal by millimetres.

But then Sparta took the game away. Next chance of Lafat was again saved by Berkovec, Krejčí’s shot went over the bar but 20 minutes till time, Bednář got the deflected ball and scored.

Just seven minutes later Sparta took the lead. It was again Bednář who participated. He sent a cross to Krejčí, he sent it back in front of the goal where Lafata had no problem to finish it.

Bohemians did not give up. They created two more chances for an equalizer. Firstly, it was Kolář who took a long range shot but Vaclik saved it with a great jump. The second chance came from the captain Jindřišek. He didn’t score and Bohemians lost a well looking match.
