Bohemians – Teplice 3:1

Kangaroos came from behind and won

Teplice, the team from north of Czech came to Ďolíček for the 24th round. FK Teplice is one of the teams which is chasing the third position in a table and this meant to be a must win game for them.

First half did not bring much of the football beauty. Passes were not accurate, dribbling with ball useless and cross balls too long. All of this caused dissatisfaction at the stands. However, first half also brought goals.

Salami got into the first chance without even knowing how. Bohemians were pushing but Teplice got into a counterattack. Brabec and Krch reacted too slowly, Nigerian striker took the ball and went for the goal.

Berkovec waited for the right moment, showed a gymnastics split and saved the situation. Pauschek could have scored seconds before the mentioned chance but his cross didn’t find anyone.

The away coach Zdeněk Ščasný had a feeling that Salami lost his confidence after this chance and decided to send Martin Fenin into the game and it was him who got into another goal chance.

It was 38th minute when Nivaldo crossed the ball into the penalty area. Fenin got enough space to head it in the goal, Berkovec couldn’t do much and Teplice went into the lead.
Kangaroos didn’t need to wait for a long time to reply. Rada tried to get into the penalty box but he was fouled on the edge of penalty area. Josef Jindřišek executed the free kick and scored. Ball went around the wall, Grigar was just observing it falling into the net. The first half ended 1:1 and fans were excited about the second half.

And they couldn’t get better reward than that. Bohemians improved their play and combination. It looked like Teplice couldn’t find a way how to deal with it. Bohemians players were braver than in the first half and solved situations easier.

Bohemians had one of those situations in 62nd minute. Rada took the ball in the middle of the field, passed the ball between two defenders to Lietava and Lietava found Nerad. The twenty-year-old talented player had a good speed, sent a ball to the far post and scored.

And the difference went up to two goals after next ten minutes. Kangaroos showed a good pressing play and forced Grigar to take a quick goal kick which went out. The fast throw in went to Nerad, he dribbled around a defender and sent a great cross ball to the other side of the goal where Hora was left alone and sent the ball into the net without any bigger problem.

The rest of the match was in hands of Bohemians. Teplice tried to lower the score difference but without success. Hora could have scored one more goal at the end of the match but his strong shot was boxed away by Grigar.

The referee Proske ended the match and fans started to celebrate. Bohemians caught up with the other teams at the bottom of the table and the chances for remaining in the first division increased. Kangaroos came from behind (first time since 8.5.2011 against Sigma) and scored three goals.
